Miley Cyrus Buys Her 2024 Grammys Performance Dress: ‘Pivotal Moment’
Miley Cyrus is creating a capsule wardrobe one piece at a time.
Cyrus, 32, bought the beaded Bob Mackie dress she wore to perform at the 2024 Grammys at the “Hollywood Legends: Unmistakably Mackie” by Julien’s auction this past weekend.
The frock memorably featured a bra top adorned with strings of silver crystals, halter straps and a fringe skirt made of multicolored gems.
At the time, Cyrus paired the glitzy design with strappy black heels, dangling diamond earrings and voluminous blowout.
“This dress represents more than a performance — it’s a celebration of the relationship between music, artistry and glamour,” Cyrus said of her look, per People. “This performance was a pivotal moment in my life and to have Bob Mackie’s support in securing it means the world to me.”
Cyrus wore the piece moments after winning her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for her Endless Summer Vacation hit, “Flowers.” As she performed “Flowers,”, she tweaked her lyrics to, “I didn’t want to leave you, but had to / I didn’t want to fight, but we did / Started to cry but then remembered I just won my first Grammy!”
Stars, including Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini, celebrated with the singer by cheering her on.
Cyrus’ Bob Mackie getup wasn’t the only fabulous ensemble she wore at the Grammys. While strutting the red carpet, the singer looked ethereal in a Maison Margiela masterpiece featuring a beaded silhouette that left very little to the imagination.
She later changed into a sequin gown by Gucci by Sabato De Sarno before accepting the award for Record of the Year. The coffee-brown number featured a one-shoulder neckline, thigh-high slit and fitted bodice. A winning fashion moment, indeed!
