West Price Hill community members pitch in to help business after break-in attempt
A series of break-ins at businesses in West Price Hill leaves store owners on edge.Eight years ago, Tammy Diebold opened her dog grooming business.Her spot, Groovy Grooming Galz, is known for the good work it does. “We have a pet pantry that provides dog food, leashes, collars,” Diebold said. “For people in need that are having a financial issue, we also do free grooming for any dogs that are in rescue.”On Saturday, when Diebold got to work, she says the front door was shattered in an attempted break-in. Unfortunately, it was not caught on her security cameras.Diebold says nothing was stolen, but she was left with costly damage.But after so many years of helping others in need, Tammy’s kindness was repaid. “We had a big response of clients offering, you know, ‘Hey, let us know if we can help, if we can provide for it,'” Diebold said.Diebold said clients came to help board up the door and clean up the mess so she could still open that day. Local window repair company Western Hills Windows even stepped up to repair the door free of charge.Sadly, Diebold’s business has not been the only hit recently. On Nov. 18, just a few blocks down on West 8th St, Petals-N-Glass Boutique was broken into.Cincinnati police say a man stole from the flower shop before taking off.CPD is now searching for suspects in these break-ins.
